Friends, do you feel that every year the earth is getting hotter, the weather is unpredictable like what happened recently. It should be the dry season but instead there is a flood. It should be the rainy season but instead there is a drought to the point of a lack of clean water for consumption. What do you think is the cause? Floods due to littering or throwing garbage in the river? Yup, it could be. But there is something more crucial than that, namely the effects of greenhouse gas emissions .
One of the emissions produced by greenhouse gases is carbon dioxide or CO2. You need to know that 65% of our earth's atmosphere is carbon dioxide. Well, this carbon dioxide functions to trap geothermal heat so it doesn't escape, so you can imagine it hasn't come from here. The more CO2 produced from human activities, the hotter the earth becomes.
Net zero emissions, namely the amount of greenhouse gases produced is the same as the amount of greenhouse gases absorbed. So there is no excess greenhouse gas emissions because the emissions can be controlled.
Based on the IPCC (The Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change) report or what can be called an international body that can assess climate change based on science, it is stated that geothermal heat has currently reached 1.1C, while the geothermal threshold that has been agreed upon by countries in the world in the Paris Agreement is ideally at 1.5C.
So, friends, don't be surprised and shocked if this net zero emission becomes an environmental care program that is being implemented by all countries in the world so that they can achieve net zero emissions in 2050 and a maximum in 2060.
